Depending on what's "between your ears - your BRAIN," it's is either a horrible time to be in sales or business, or it's a great time.
 
The bottom line is - whether it is horrible or great is...ULTIMATELY up to you, not the news.
 
We have heard it many times that in every crisis, there is OPPORTUNITY waiting to be born. Despite the negative news, the world isn’t going to stop spinning. The sun is going to rise in the East tomorrow, and another day "will" unfold.  Does this make sense?  Do you not agree?  What do you think?
        
Each day is a blank slate..."a spring board of opportunity or a crisis." Which will it be for you?

Each morning, you have a choice!




 
 
Are you going to be controlled by circumstances that you don’t like, or are you going to make your own circumstance happen? It's easy to become paralyzed with fear, if you are not FOCUSED.

TIME MANAGEMENT is key to your success.  We have heard it many a times.  Right?
Yes.  Being able to manage time is very crucial.  All of us have 24 hours in a day.  How we manage our time depends on how effective we are in control.

Are you spending your time worrying about what you can’t control or are you working to develop "new" business, connections and strategies?

Take for example, say if you are in "sales".  What can you do?
Well, get the MOTIVE.
Prospects have a reason for talking with you.
Find out what it is.
Knowing "motive" is a key element in any sale, even in a good economy.
When people are afraid, "understanding" your client's motive is even more important.

This is whether you are an insurance guy or the property agent. 


  • When you are following up with people, ADD VALUE by giving them something they can use. If you do, they will come to you when they are ready for your product, service and/or to hire you. Don't pester them with endless calls or you'll end up chasing them away.


  • Whether you are self-employed, unemployed, work in a bank or sell real estate...work on your "CLOSING" skills. Learn how to ask the right questions. Dig deeper. Ask more follow up questions..i.e... “How can I provide you with "more" or "better" service in these challenging times?


  • Work on your "LISTENING" skills. Don’t let vague words pass you by. "Soon" is a vague word. Ask the question, “What is soon in your world?” When you hear a vague word, learn to ask a question.


  • Watch your LANGUAGE. Are you using positive or negative words? If negative words, phrases or complaints are creeping into your communication, get rid of them. They will impact you and your business in a negative ways.

  • Keep in mind that "we are what we hold in consciousness," so choose your words and thoughts "wisely" so they EMPOWER you and others.


  • STOP the "soap" about the economy being bad; its old news already, anyway.


  • Keep your ATTITUDE - UP. A "positive attitude" is contagious in all areas of your life and career.


  • EXERCISE. Get out and walk, run, jog, stretch, swim, bike, practice yoga or anything else that gets your body moving. Exercise releases endorphins that make you feel GOOD.


  • Don't be your own worst enemy. Stop "blaming" people, lenders, the government, and even Feng Shui for your problems and lack of success. BLAME reflects "victimhood," and being a "victim" creates conflict, struggle, depression, scarcity and "more" fear in your life


  • FOCUS ON THE SOLUTION, not on the problem. If you are not getting the results you need, focus on "what must be done DIFFERENTLY in order to succeed." If you focus on the problem, you’ll only get more problems back. Focus on the solution and you’ll find the answer.


  • Come from ABUNDANCE and create a WIN. If you own your own business or company and "believe" your product and/or service is "valuable" and "beneficial" in this economy, then consider "reducing" your pricing, so that you can "help" those you SERVE...get ahead.


  • SPACE CLEAR your desk at the end of each day, and your office at the end of each week. Monitoring your business Feng Shui will allow doors to open, opportunity to find you and ABUNDANCE to bless you.


  • Write down 3 things you are GRATEFUL for and make sure to BLESS your customers,' clients,' (or soon to be - new employer) at the end of each day.



  • How the current economic situation plays out for you, and your business, is up to you.

    The government is not going to solve your problems. In every crisis, there will be people who fall by the wayside, and there will be people who PROSPER.

    The only thing that matters is:
